Kahlan Amnell/Richard Cypher/Cara MasonWatching them is a painful pleasure. LEGEND OF THE SEEKER is the brainchild of Rob Tapert, who created a basic blueprint for swords 'n' sorcery TV shows with his two prior entries in the genre, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess. Legend of the Seeker follows the same model, as Richard, Kahlan, and Zeddicus gather allies in their campaign to defeat Darken. The scene and staging of the first 10 minutes are really, exquisite. But, their arrival reveals more than one secret…I’m just going to say this about Legend of the Seeker: it begins brilliantly.![]() Kahlan is “dark,” but is fighting on the side of the good, a place I hope she remains.Fans looking for a substitute during seasonal breaks of things like Once Upon a Time or if you’re still suffering withdrawals from BBC’s Merlin, might want to look into this. She’s kind of Morgana before she went all 180° during the latter seasons of Merlin. They were great together though to be honest, the mystery of Kahlan intrigues the most. An unsuspecting one at that, but nonetheless, he rises to the occasion.Kahlan is a feisty warrior and I confess the pilot is enough for me to fully support the will-they-or-won’t-they romance between these two. What future quests this will send our heroes on is a mystery. Enough so that I’ll likely watch the rest of the season – when I do not know (I mean, guys, the amount of shows I’ve watched the pilot for and loved, but got no further withis insane), but I’d like to think I will watch it at some point. Legend Of The Seeker Tv Show Tv Show MightAnd OMG the chemistry between Craig Horner and Bridget Regan (Richard and Kahlan) is insane they were pretty much the reason why I ended up sticking around with this show, lol. There may be an innuendo or two.Very random comment on my part but if I recall correctly, I think the first two episodes were the closest to the book ( Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind), haha (err, wouldn't recommend the book though unless you like dark fantasy this tv show might've coloured my impression/approach on the book too) xDI watched most of this show when I was in grad school and for the most part enjoyed it sometimes it's a bit, err, campy (for lack of a better word? It does get serious/a lot darker in season 2 though), and the special effects are a bit obvious, but it's good fun and the production really makes the most of the New Zealand landscape. Various situations involve magic (Kahlen uses it) and a dragon-like creature threatens two characters. A woman dies after being shot in the back with an arrow. Multiple men die as a result. There are two or three battles that become intense (fire, swordplay). Nvr cctv systemI didn't realize it was based off a book when I started watching the pilot – or if I did, I'd forgotten. Hope you enjoy the rest of the show Rissi! :)That's cool to know. It wasn't like my most favourite tv show ever or anything, but I really enjoyed watching it (and it's nice to see more fantasy on the television line-up). I had some serious hair envy whenever I was watching this show xDI admit, I'm still a bit sore that this was cancelled after two seasons. That earns big points, especially if the viewer is a romantic, which *cough* I am. They were really cute and even five minutes after meeting, there were sparks. Must be a "thing" that goes hand-in-hand with the genre.I love Craig and Bridget together. Maybe because as you say, it grows darker and so much fantasy tends to go that direction. PCampy is the perfect word! I did love the pilot though am skeptical about where the plot goes. Given how many books I have to read right now, it's probably a good thing I wouldn't like it. Always great to chat with you. That show was SO cute. Thanks, Lianne! I'm glad you dropped by. I'm still saddened that Pushing Daisies was cut short. It is nice to have some of these more obscure shows in the line up. She was in CW's Beauty and the Best and White Collar.I know what you mean. Maybe, it's just because most of the fantasy stuff I've seen veers in that direction, so that's what I associate "darkness" with the genre. )Haha, same! I didn't even need to turn on the shipper radar, it was off the walls within the first few minutes =PI, err, been meaning to watch Pushing Daises :3 I saw the first episode, thought it was cute and quirky, and then yeah, never got around to the rest of the series =/ But yeah, it sucks when TV shows get cut off prematurely (and then you have the TV shows that go on forever long past when the stories seemed interesting =S)I'm like you, I cannot think of an example where fantasy doesn't get "darker." Merlin goes that way in a drastic fashion Narnia has its darker tendencies and even OUAT suffers that fate. That earns big points, especially if the viewer is a romantic, which *cough* I am. They were really cute and even five minutes after meeting, there were sparks. PI totally hear you life's too short to dwell on books you don't like =P On a related, I think the end of season 1 was also a bit close to the book…but it's been so long now, I don't remember xDI'm so happy Bridget got roles after LotS (though I haven't seen Beauty and the Beast or White Collar) :) It's so cute that she and Craig are still friends too xDI love Craig and Bridget together. Descargar fl studio 12:)Definitely! I suspect those sparks continue to grow the longer the story unfolds. It'd be cool to see them star together again. That's cool S1 brings in portions or plots via the book! I'm guessing the series doesn't end solidly… or maybe they were aware of the cancellation?Aw, that's fun that Craig and Bridget are friends. But I think Merlin's journey gets pretty messy and, well, that makes me sad.EXACTLY! Who needs to read books we're "sure" aren't for us!? There's too many other wonderful stories to be discovered. Shows that end before they should is a bummer. But the characters, spontaneous burst of song (because of Kristin Chenoweth) and great plotting made it stand out. It's definitely quirky and not everyone will like it. ![]()
